Details

After the DNA samples have moved through the gel the team places the gel on an ultraviolet (UV) light table and records an image of the bands that appear. Sarah Nalven then checks each sample to see if there is enough of the 16s gene present for sequencing. Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon.
