Details

Here is what the data from the GPR (Ground-Penetrating Radar) looks like on Dr. Luke Zoet's computer. Each colored line represents a layer of sediment in the drumlin. The GPR identifies these layers by detecting differences in electrical transmissivity – how easily electricity moves through microscopic particles in the sediment. The more red the colored line, the higher the electrical transmissivity. The y-axis is currently unitless, however it represents depth.
