Frank Kelley says, "the bear guards have it pretty easy these days, they just hunker down behind their windshields and watch life go by. Earlier in the season, they were working much harder, keeping an eye out for polar bears. The bear guards must be native Inupiats to be able to shoot a polar bear, anyone else would be in big trouble with the Fish and Wildlife folks." Barrow, Alaska.
