Details

Natasha Griffin and Matt Hedin sample soil CO2 using a monitor. The monitor extracts air from the soil and determines the concentration of CO2, which means animals in the soil are either more abundant, more active, or both. This collection site is known as Wormherder Creek near the upper portion of Lake Bonney, Antarctica.
