Cara Pekarcik: "Albatross species with this plummage can be difficult to distinguish. Most likely, this is a southern royal albatross (Diomedea epomophora), however, the plummage is similar to a sub-adult wandering albatross." Aboard the Nathaniel B. Palmer in the Drake Passage.
