Each year, the IceCube team hosts an open house in which the entire South Pole Station population is invited to see what the team is working on. A DOM (digital optical module) acts as a guestbook. The signed DOM goes down into the ice with a permanent record of all the visitors. Near the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, Antarctica.
