Details

The giant water tank on the sled is called the Water Buffalo. It is used to haul 1600 gallons of warm water out to the trenches on the ice. A hose goes from the Water Buffalo to the IceTop tank. Near the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, Antarctica.
