Dr. Tero Härkönen is the leader of the team. Dr. Olle Karlson is responsible for blood sample collection and for the production of video records of the team’s work. Tero created the design for the nets the team uses, and he got his cool hat when he was working on seal research in Kazakhstan. Olle is a Grey Seal specialist back in Sweden and he is responsible for making the seal relax after it is caught in the net. He covers the seal’s eyes and wraps his big arms and body around the seal. His firm “seal hug” seems to calm the seal while the data is being collected. Aboard the zodiac, near the icebreaker Oden.
