Jeff Peneston had been asking folks on the Oden about krill for about a week when he got a lucky. One of the members of the seal research team stepped through a soft spot in the sea ice, and when he emptied the seawater out of his boot, this krill came out with the water. He was able to bring the krill to Jeff and gave Jeff a chance to take some close-up photos. Aboard the icebreaker Oden.
