Dr. Henrik Kylin is the scientist from Sweden with the most experience working aboard the Oden. He is also the most knowledgeable about the birds and animals of the Antarctic. When he and Jeff Peneston spotted a group of Adelie penguins coming toward the ship, they went out and sat down on the ice to wait. The group of penguins approached within ten feet of them and the penguins seemed particularly interested when Henrik was on his knees in his best penguin pose. On the sea ice, near the icebreaker Oden.
