Jeff Peneston took this photo while sitting on the ice floe near the ice coring station. Jeff did not need a zoom lens and he only took this one photo. Then he put the camera down and marveled at these amazing birds with his own eyes until the Adélie penguins decided they had satisfied their curiosity and walked away. On the sea ice, near the icebreaker Oden.
