This giant water pump can move 10,000 cubic meters of seawater per hour! That huge amount of water is blasted though nozzles on the bow of the Oden and onto the sea ice. This makes the solid ice slippery enough for the ship to slide up on top of it and crush through the ice. The blast of water can also move some of the ice blocks away from the bow and even be used to push the ship itself! Aboard the icebreaker Oden.
