Details

WHOI deployed this AOFB (Autonomous Ocean Flux Buoy) system to measure changes in ocean currents under the ice. It is powered by a battery that is recharged with wind energy. On the sea ice near the Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker Louis S. St-Laurent, on the Beaufort Sea.
