Details

Will and Rick test the ice by drilling a hole. They need an ice floe that is neither too thick (so they can drill through to the water underneath) nor too thin (not thick enough to support the Ice-Tethered Profiler for several seasons). On the sea ice near the Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker Louis S. St-Laurent, on the Beaufort Sea.
