One of three sediment traps is brought on board. These traps are on the line at various depths to collect whatever is falling through the water column above. A computer rotates the 21 bottles so each one collects 17 days of falling particles. Aboard the Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker Louis S. St-Laurent, on the Beaufort Sea.
