Rob Wilder spent a day with the Nuvuk archaeology group in Point Barrow, Alaska. While some in the group were excavating a discovered burial site, Rob Wilder and others dug test pits every one meter in an effort to find new burial sites. This pit clearly shows how the sand, soil, and pebbles were deposited in layers over time.
