Elke and a halo. Halos can be observed when a certain amount of wind stirs enough snow and ice crystals into the air which refracts the sun rays, forming a 360 degree "halo" around the sun. Another condition is that the air has to be very cold. Outside of the Balloon Inflation Facility (BIF) at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, Antarctica.
