Details

Pressure ridges where the Ross Sea Ice meets the land of Ross Island and the Ross Ice Shelf. The expansion of the ice forces the sea ice upwards in all different formations. These are dangerous as there is open water below the ridges. Outside of Scott Base, New Zealand, Ross Island, Antarctica.
