Details

The nasal swab is quickly sealed into a sterile tube with a preservative. Once the team gets back to Sweden, the bacteria and viruses can be identified. Jeff's first concern was to try to comfort the unhappy young seal in the net. Within minutes the procedures were complete and the seal was released. On the sea ice, near the icebreaker Oden.
